I Turned ON All Ubuntu Telemetry.

I  did something today that will make certain corners of the internet audibly gasp. I didn’t disable telemetry. I didn’t firewall it. I didn’t put on a tinfoil hat and boot into a Faraday cage. No. I installed every Ubuntu data-donation tool and opted in manually like a lunatic with intent. Yes. Telemetry. On. All of it. Step 1: Installing the “evil” telemetry tool First, I installed Ubuntu’s main data-donation package: sudo apt update sudo apt install ubuntu-report Then I looked at the data it collects: ubuntu-report And what did I see? CPU model GPU model RAM size Screen resolution Oh no. My computer… exists . Step 2: Opting in aggressively Not satisfied with a passive existence, I explicitly told Ubuntu: ubuntu-report -f send yes That’s right. Not “ask me later” . Not “maybe” . YES. SEND IT. Somewhere, a Canonical server blinked awake like: “Another one has chosen… participation.” Step 3: Package usage stats (aka “He installed VLC”) Next up:...

Easily Unbrick a Samsung device with Odin Flashtool

To unbrick or flash stock on Samsung devices, you can follow these steps:

1. Ensure that you have the necessary prerequisites, including a Windows PC, USB drivers, frija firmware download tool, Odin, and a soft-bricked or malfunctioning Samsung device.

2. Download the firmware for your specific Samsung device using the frija firmware download tool. This tool allows you to find and download the official Samsung firmware directly from Samsung servers.

3. Install the USB drivers for your Samsung device on your Windows PC. These drivers enable your PC to recognize and communicate with your device.

4. Extract the firmware files from the downloaded package. You can utilize software like 7-Zip or WinRAR to extract the files.

5. Download and install Odin on your Windows PC. Odin is a powerful tool that allows you to flash firmware, custom recoveries, and other system modifications on Samsung devices.

6. Boot your Samsung device into Download Mode. To do this, turn off your device and then press and hold the volume down, home, and power buttons simultaneously. Once you see a warning screen, press the volume up button to enter Download Mode.

7. Connect your Samsung device to your PC using a USB cable.

8. Open Odin on your PC and make sure the device is detected by Odin. You should see a message in the Odin message box indicating that the device has been detected.

9. In Odin, click on the "AP" or "PDA" button (depending on the Odin version) and select the firmware file you extracted earlier.

10. Once the firmware file is loaded in Odin, click the "Start" button to initiate the flashing process. Odin will now flash the firmware onto your Samsung device.

11. The flashing process may take a few minutes. Do not disconnect your device or interrupt the process until it is complete.

12. Once the firmware flashing is done, you will see a "PASS" message in Odin, indicating that the process was successful.

13. Your Samsung device will reboot automatically, and you can disconnect it from your PC.

By following these steps, you should be able to unbrick or flash stock firmware on your Samsung device. Remember to carefully select the correct firmware for your device to avoid any compatibility issues.
